Hands That Heal RI (HTHRI) is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for veterinary care to low-income families, senior citizens and homeless pet owners. By providing low-cost veterinary care, HTHRI improves the health and well-being of pet owners and the animals in their lives.
Bringing a pet into the family is a lifetime commitment. Often people find themselves in unexpected financial hardship, either temporarily or as a long-term change from their original situation. Many pet owners have to relinquish their pets to animal shelters or find another home for them because they can no longer provide the cost of care, even if the problems are only short-lived. Fortunately, HTHRI is here to help families obtain assistance with routine veterinary expenses for their pets.
HTHRI focuses on providing low-cost emergency veterinary care for those who qualify, resources for free and low-cost spay/neuter services to people in financial need, general support, counseling, and education for people with pet-related concerns. We also support animal rights legislation. We are supportive of other animal welfare groups and work with them to improve the lives of animals, their owners and the community.

This contest is a fun, interactive way for you to participate in the continued support of Hands That Heal RI and display your love for your pets!
First Prize: $200 Gift Certificate for a photo session with Bob Fontaine Photography
Second Prize: $50 Dog or Cat Gift Basket
Third Prize: $25 Sweenor’s Chocolate Gift Basket
OFFICIAL PHOTO CONTEST RULES
・ There is a $5 entry fee per photo. Each additional photo is $1.
・ All photos may be submitted online through our website: www.handsthathealri.com with entry fees paid for through the PayPal button on that website. You may also mail your photos, along with a check made payable to Hands That Heal RI, P.O. Box 455, Foster, RI 02825.
・ Color digital photos are required and must be a minimum of 300 dpi in JPEG (JPG) format. Please do not submit photos taken with the camera on your cell phone (the quality is not high enough for the process).
・ We can only use photos of your pets.
・ By submitting your photo, you certify that you own the copyright to the picture and that you agree to grant Hands That Heal RI permission to reproduce, publish in any media, distribute and display all submitted photos, images and text. No professional photographs, copyrighted, and/or stock photos accepted.
・ Photo contest begins April 1, 2013 and closes on May 31, 2013
・ Once a photo is submitted and approved, it will appear on Hands That Heal RI’s website and Facebook page and will be open to voting by the general public.
・ The entry & voting period will end 11:59:59 EST on May 31, 2013.
All donations go directly to veterinary care for animals of low-income pet owners. Hands That Heal RI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization which provides financial assistance for veterinary care and pet food to low-income families, senior citizens and homeless pet owners.
